Yoga allows us the space to be quiet and attentive to ourselves, allowing our true wisdom and humanity to emerge. It also allows us a sanctuary away from the busy mental chatter, and the world of distractions and escapism that surrounds us. Yoga is a journey, a way to explore your body and your mind and a way to navigate through the physically and emotionally challenging world we live in. 

By getting on our mats, breathing deeply, turning our awareness inward and letting go we begin to quieten the mind and finely tune our focus and concentration. We practise being in the moment, in not running away from obstacles or difficulty, staying with discomfort, self-doubt and challenge and in treating ourselves with love and compassion.

Yoga is about connecting to yourself. Yoga is about taking a moment from your life to remember that you have a soul that needs tending to. Simply finding the awareness to what your body needs and taking as many or as few postures necessary to help you feel more complete. Just a simple dedication to taking the time for yourself learning to diagnose your needs, to properly balance the body, to create calm in the mind and to find peace in the spirit.

As we become stronger both physically and mentally yoga allows us to experience and embody our true nature. Yoga cultivates a commitment to breath, movement, health, happiness and prayer which will lead you home to yourself.

YOGA NIDRA WORKSHOP 

with EMMA AT YOGAPOINT

Explore and Experience the Sacred Yoga of Sleep

Yoga Nidra is a great treasure, a potent meditative resource for healing, insight, and empowerment. It’s a state of consciousness in which we are invited to re-encounter the essential truth of who we really are. Yoga Nidra provides us with the opportunity to experience deep freedom. It welcomes us all home to ourselves.

This workshop will lead you through Pranayama breath work to energise the body and some gentle movement and floor based Yin postures to open and stretch. 

Emma will then guide you through a deep, restful Yoga Nidra practise, which guarantees to leave you wonderfully restored and rejuvenated. We will finish with tasty snacks and tea.

Blankets, eye masks and props will be provided. 

Suitable for everyone.

Inversions are super good for our bodies and minds, energising the nervous system, strengthening and toning the internal organs, getting the blood flowing the opposite way and really forcing us to be fully in the moment. And they feel amazing!

PRIVATE CLASSES

 

Come to my brand new garden yoga studio in Herne Hill. Be guided through your own personal practice to energise and nurture your mind, body and spirit. Private one to one classes allow students to focus on specific areas of the body, working with any existing injuries or difficulties or to practice more challenging postures with support and guidance. Dynamic and energising postures will cultivate strength and flexibility, alongside deep breathing and meditation techniques to encourage the mind to quieten and to cultivate a lasting sense of peace and stability. A private class is perfect as a one off to give your practice a boost, or as a series of classes which can fit in with your schedule. 

Small groups can also be accommodated. Mats and props are provided. 

One to one classes are £50 per hour in my studio or £60 per hour if I come to your home. 


YOGA AT WORK

Too busy to get to a yoga class? Need to stretch out and breathe after sitting at a desk all day? Let me come and teach yoga in your workplace. Classes can take place before or after work or during the lunch break. Contact me for prices.
